The Making of a Fraction Vessel

Apache partnered with a pharmaceutical processor to supply 24 sanitary vessels for fraction collection, ensuring isolation of highly purified products. The vessels meet ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 and include CRN registration for Prince Edward Island. Features include sanitary pressure manways, custom nozzle configurations, multiple sight glasses, Clean-in-Place spray balls, bottom ball valves, and zero-dead-leg connections. Manufacturing adhered to strict compliance with internal 25Ra and external 35Ra finishes, nitric passivation per ASTM A-967, and rigorous testing. Documentation included ASME reports, material and passivation certificates, and QC checklists. Apache’s compliance engineers ensured precise specifications and smooth third-party inspections.
