Meat Attachment Test

Mepaco introduced an in-house meat attachment test to evaluate the performance of different stainless steel finishes in processing equipment. Using a custom-designed device, technicians tested three panels: electropolished, pickle passivated, and bead blasted. A 70% lean beef patty at 44°F was placed on each surface, and the mechanism was tilted to at least 90 degrees to measure adhesion. The electropolished panel demonstrated the least meat attachment, confirming its superior sanitary properties. As part of the Apache Stainless family, Mepaco offers both mechanical and chemical finishing in-house, helping customers reduce food safety risks and improve sanitation efficiency.
