Bin Batching Automation System Example
Application: A pet food processor with multiple SKUs needed scale and efficiency for a formulation processing line to meet demand and cost targets.
Solution: Bin batching with metering screw conveyors delivering ingredient dosage using a loss-in-weight method, configured with 13 metering screws for continuous 24/7 production and on-demand formulation.
Outcome: Mepaco’s bin batching automation supports scalable, 24/7 production while reducing labor dependency. Automated batching improves consistency, throughput, and operational reliability—even with limited staffing.
Pre-Blend Automation System Example
Application: A red meat processor needed a scale formulation solution to improve lean/fat analysis and reduce lean give-away waste.
Solution The pre‑blend formulation solution integrates a dumper, metering screw, sanitary belt with metal detection, and inspection flip conveyor to ensure controlled material flow. Ingredients are transferred to mixers and blenders with vacuum sampling, guided by a formulation program within the controls package. Load cells on pre‑mixers, blenders, and the final mixer provide accurate, verifiable measurement at every stage.
Outcome This approach improves formulation accuracy while eliminating delays caused by manual handling or rework. Measured lean points support higher production volumes and deliver greater consistency in lean‑yield performance.
