Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation, founded in 1975, is a manufacturer of quality capital equipment for a diverse customer base. We fabricate custom and standard products utilizing stainless steel, aluminum and higher alloys. While we serve a wide variety of industries, our products are most commonly found in food, pharmaceutical, bio-pharma, chemical, bio-fuel, petroleum, pet food, pulp & paper, and beverage applications.
The company initiated operations in a 14,000 sq. ft. building located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Business growth led to building a new 46,250 sq. ft. facility in 1983, also located in Beaver Dam.
In 1990, the company constructed a 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Plover, Wisconsin, to support additional growth, primarily for non-sanitary, stainless steel (and higher alloy) vessel fabrication.
In 1993, the company acquired Mepaco, and relocated the manufacturing of its products from Oakland, California, to Beaver Dam. Mepaco was originally founded in the 1930’s and manufactures a high quality line of vacuum stuffers and mixer-blenders, as well as, other material handling and process equipment. Mepaco has several pieces of patented equipment, while its molds and pressure clamping devices are considered the industry standard.
In 1994, a small vessel group was established, which primarily manufactures vessels ranging in size from 1 liter to 55 gallons for the pharmaceutical, bio-pharma, semi-conductor, graphic art, gluing, chemical, and water treatment industries.
Our contract manufacturing group was established in 1999, and currently provides contract manufacturing services for a diverse customer base. Additionally, we have an on-site electropolishing system which improves the quality, timeliness and cost efficiencies of electropolishing fabricated vessels and equipment. The electropolishing division also sub-contracts its services to outside vendors.
Continued growth required an expansion of the company’s Beaver Dam facility in 2000, increasing manufacturing square footage to approximately 100,000 in Beaver Dam.
The company established a transportation division in 2004 to ensure the timely and damage-free delivery of product. This division sub-contracts its services to outside vendors, as well.
In 2006, Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation became a subsidiary of Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc., allowing our company to become 100% employee-owned.
Subsequent expansions have increased our total manufacturing space to nearly 200,000 sq. ft. between the Beaver Dam and Plover facilities.
Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation is well-known for on-time delivery of high quality products and services to our customers. Our ownership culture empowers employee-owners, allowing us to operate in a highly efficient, service-oriented manner that ultimately enables us to deliver exceptional value.
